The Furnace Kitchen, nestled in the scenic Ironbridge Gorge Museums, is a delightful café that offers both indoor and outdoor seating, making it an inviting spot for visitors. Reviewers consistently highlight the quality of the food, particularly the breakfast options. David Morris, for instance, raves about the generous portions, especially the crispy hash browns and perfectly cooked streaky bacon, describing it as one of the best Sunday breakfasts he's had.
This café stands out not just for its menu but also for its atmosphere. The airy space, complemented by complimentary parking for those who spend over £25, enhances the experience of dining here. Elaine Wickwar appreciates the attention to detail, mentioning the lovely soap and hand cream available in the restrooms, which add a touch of luxury to the practical.
Moreover, the service generally receives positive remarks, though some reviews suggest there is room for improvement in communication. Despite this minor detail, the combination of delicious offerings—like their noteworthy Father’s Day set lunch with succulent pink beef and top-notch cauliflower cheese—ensures that patrons leave satisfied. The Furnace Kitchen is undeniably a charming stop for food lovers visiting the iconic Ironbridge region.

A pretty cafe/restaurant. Indoor and outside seating. Appeared quite pricey. Hot chocolate 3.95 or a special 4.95 Drinking water freely available. You order your drinks and they are bought to your table, there was a wait. Hot meals, snacks and cakes available. Toilets available including a disabled one. Nice soap and hand cream. All on the ground floor, step free access. Paid Car park, spend over 25 for free parking.

We try a few places for Sunday breakfast and this is probably the nicest we've had. A good portion, big hash browns and lovely streaky smoked bacon. Well cooked and a lovely place to sit. Only reason I dropped a star on service was that the young girls need to be a bit more communicative towards the customers. Definately return

Hard to initially locate but a wonderful quiet location set in historic Ironbridge. The food is both great value and very tasty. We will definitely go again.

What a wonderful venue! We arrived for brunch on a Sunday, the menu was full of options. The food and coffee were very good and enjoyed by all. The atmosphere is great with great decor and attentive, happy waiting staff. The venue is very disabled friendly with a flat entrance with no steps, an electronic door and plenty of room between tables. Parking is right outside and although chargeable, can be paid via a website without having to get to the payment machine. Highly recommend and will certainly be visiting again.
